Overview
About Me
Hi, my name is Berat and I am 19. I am studying Computer Science & Mathematics. Aside from travelling, I have many hobbies which include: guitar, martial arts, painting and reading (although I'm not particularly good at any of them haha). I love talking to people about their thoughts and experiences, and learning new things about myself and the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
What I love most about life is listening to people about their lives and thoughts, and sharing experiences with them. Travelling for me consists of many aspects, the two most important to me are meeting new people and getting out of my comfort zone. I find that my best travel memories are from things that I don't plan ahead for, and are usually with people I've met on the road.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In Sarajevo I took a cable car up a mountain and then, with some friends we ran down a mountain in heavy rain and loud thunder. Our clothes and shoes were fully soaked and we almost slipped multiple times. It was really cold at the start, but after a while the rain felt really good. It felt so freeing running down the mountain, avoiding huge puddles with my shirt off and no technology. It felt like I was a child again and it made me grateful to be alive. Although after the fun, my passport was damaged and my shoes were wet for days- but it was totally worth it.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to gain the confidence that I can be left anywhere in the world with just the clothes on my back and no money, and be able to survive and travel. I'm currently trying to learn how to hitchhike. I want to stop planning my trips as much, and just end up in random places to explore.
