About Me

I am an adventurous person and a good listener. I have a Bachelor's in psychology. Please do not ask me to analyze you! :) kidding!! I am a very open-minded, caring, and loving person. I enjoy company of other people. I like visiting museums and trying new food. I like volunteering a lot. I think it is a great way to connect to the world. I volunteered for American Red Cross, American Cancer Society, UPMC Cancer Center, etc. In my leisure time, I enjoy translating articles from English into Turkish.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd love to meet new people and share travel stories. Most of my overseas travel stays were at hostels. I made great friends back in those days. The reason I do couchsurfing is that hosts and guests are more genuine and sincere and more willing to spend talking time with each other. In short, I am interested in meeting people from all walks of life. I love different cultures and languages. I am a huge supporter of diversity and via couchsurfing I meet amazing people from all over the world. As Shafak puts, "you learn the most from those who are different from you the most."

Interests

I spend most of my time reading, cooking, traveling, and taking pictures. I love reading mostly about psychology and sociology. I love discovering high quality coffee shops in different cities. I love playing ping-pong. I am interested in meeting anybody who is different than me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

It was to change my major from Business into Psychology. Whatever you study or do, do it with love!

Teach, Learn, Share

Stories are very powerful. Once Shafak said, "They have the effect of punching holes in our mental ghettos" The more we learn, experience, and share the more we enjoy life and contribute to the world.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my travel experiences, my culture, and most importantly my travel stories of which I have abundant. If I am allowed to use the kitchen, I'd love to cook for my hosts.
