ABOUT ME

I am Australian and currently at home in Sydney, Australia. I work in a school teaching I think the most random subject of all time. I think that your job shouldn't define all of you so I do heaps of other things every day including dancing, swimming, hoola hooping, singing Sea Shanty's and doofing.

PHILOSOPHY

Someone out there has a plan for me, I don't know what it is but I am enjoying the ride and thankful for everything and everyone I have in my life.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

What I have found with couchsurfing is that usually people that come to my house want to stay long term. If that is you - I would love for you to try out my house for a day as a couchsurfer and then if you like it become a real paying flatmate. I have had great success finding beautiful people to live with this way including introducing two people in 2016 who stayed at my house through couchsurfing and are still going out!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

If you know me then you have probably stayed at my house. In 2010 I lived in Israel and hosted weekend mates and had other mates over for months at a time. Thank g-d my flatmate was the most chilled out person of all time! I had one mate who came for a couple of months because she started a mechanics course in the area. My best mate Liz came for 3 weeks and it was awesome! I stayed with Couchsurfing in Chile which was pretty amazing and I also hosted when I was in Buenos Aires when I was there for a month.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In 2005 I travelled around the world and stayed only with people I knew or found! Like I was on a train and got in to this station in Slovakia at 10pm and there was no train to Poland until the morning so this guy I had been talking to on the train offered to drive me over the border in the morning, most random couch surf of all time!

What to expect at my house:
The lucky person that gets to stay at my house will get to use the contents of my food cupboard and any teas that are there. You can borrow a bike or a surf board and come on an adventure to an endless supply of events that I know about.

What I want from a couchsurfer:
I would like my guest to: play some music with me, create some art to leave at the house, bring some drinks with them for sharing, help out by cooking something from their country for the house, cleaning something during their stay (I have a no dishes left in the sink policy) and buying some kind of communal products e.g. toilet paper or laundry powder.

I believe in the power of community and by meeting new amazing people they enrich our lives as well as we are able to enrich theirs.

I have embraced Burning Seed, Confest, Psyfari, Woodford to name a few awesome things... I think its a pretty freeing experience.

In 2010 I went to a trance party in the middle of the desert with a couple of my mates in Israel. It was so beautiful dancing through the night and watching the sunrise. There were these hills that we climbed up and you could see this vast expanse around you of nothingness, a feeling like there was only this in the whole world. Everyone was so happy and just excited to be there and part of it. Such an awesome vibe with great music and people is hard to beat.

Well, I am a teacher and can help you with Hebrew, Jewish history or English. I'm pretty handy with a map. Seriously, if you know any capoeira at all I would love to do some with you! I can always improve! I can make soup thanks to my mate Sara and am happy to show you how to make it :) I am interested in learning an instrument like guitar or ukelele if you know how to play.
