Hi everyone,
My name is Bérénice
I have left my everyday life as a Paris animation cinema artist to travel through Japan for 6 months with a Working Holiday Visa! I have heard a lot about Couchsurfing and am very excited to be part of this journey.
I'm a food lover, a language learner and an artist. Looking forward to practising some Japanese language skills, discovering new places, volunteering, traveling, and meeting interesting people on the way!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

New to Couchsurfing, I would love to get started and get to meet people from plenty of different places, to discover the sights and sounds of their way of life, share some lovely moments together and learn some funny slang words. I believe in human connexion, in kindness, respect, and the joy of sharing food ^^

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all sorts of music, from pop music to traditional singing from many cultures, I listen to blues, rock, rap music, and have been lately entranced by a Taiko drum concert!
Also I play some guitar, some ukulele and I've been a singer in a couple of bands.
Movies and animation are my line of work, so I'm a natural live action cinema and animation fan.
As for books I enjoy reading inspiring people's biographies as well as fantasy novels, comic books and manga.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm very glad to have learned some Japanese with evening classes, and to have worked with awesome people on animated TV shows and one feature-film that made it to the Cannes Film Festival.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have a fondness for art, ceramics, fashion and clothes design. Anything unique you could show me from your area would be a lovely experience. As a thank you, I can draw your portrait ^^ and/or teach you some French pick-up lines

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'd love to chat, get to know you and your city, maybe cook something together and discover the music you like.
As I've left my home for 6 months, I cannot offer to host you just yet, however in 2020, I'll be headed to Canada where I'm going to live, and where I'll be delighted to be your host ^^
