Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Over the last few years traveling has become a big part of my life. While living here in United States , I’ve been lucky enough to be able to put this passion of mine into practice. One of the things that has been aiding me in this journey is CouchSurfing. I’ve used the community for meeting some of the locals here in Denver. Now, I’m not claiming to be an expert on the whole CouchSurfing thing, but I am an enthusiast of always meeting new friends in any part of the world.
Interests
Travel the world. Meet great people. Seize every opportunity. Live life to the fullest.
Music, Movies, and Books
Foreign cinema, France: "Amelie", Italy : "Cinema Paradiso" and "La Vita e Bella", Germany: " Run Lola Run" and " Wings of Desire", Spain: " Los Amantes del Circulo Polar" " Habla con Ella", "Mujeres al Borde de un Ataque de Nervios", Basically all the Almodovar Movies!, Brazil: " City of God" (oh the Favelas!!!) Mexico: "Cronos", " Pans Labyrinth" and Amores Perros" hehe... In other words I love movies, no matter what language!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveled to Managua Nicaragua last year and I loved it. I had all kinds of adventures I visited many volcanoes and a lagoon in Masaya, I missed my plane and visited a third world hospital, visited with family in Granada and hang out with surfers in San Juan, Amazing food! Another amazing trip was when I visited Venezuela, home to some of South America's most incredible landscapes. I visited Caracas, Maracaibo, Valencia, and some of their beautiful beaches Los Roques and Island of Margarita. And took a 30 min short flight to Aruba and spent the weekend there Ha! Venezuela Rightly has a bad image problem at the moment, and hyperinflation has led to a dramatic drop in living standards and issues with the supply of basic goods, while personal safety, particularly in Caracas. And yet, visiting Venezuela is both possible and remarkably cheap. Yes safety is a serious concern, it's best to know a local of course, but sensibly managed it should be no deterrent to a trip. Definitely visiting Central, South America and the Caribbean have changed my perspective about traveling, budgeting and learnt to be open to the unpredictable.
