Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am as new to this as can be so my participation experiences are limited as. But I have met many couch surfers during my travels and a couple of my best friends have been couch surfing and lauding the activity for years. I thought I would give it a shot and I am sure that my travelling experience will be useful to someone at some point.

Interests

You'd never guess but I like travelling. With that comes love of hiking, sailing, swimming and other active pursuits. When I don't do that I read, mostly classics, political writings or fantasy. And when I don't do that I play computer games, mostly strategy or RPG. Failing that I plan my next travels and so the circle ends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing without doubt was swimming with elephants in a pool in Cambodian jungle.

The most daring was probably swimming in the rapids at the top of Murchinson Falls in Uganda.

The most colourful was a participating in a traditional tribal Wedding in Northern Kenya.

The most spiritual was witnessing the play of light in the stained glass windows of Saint Denis in Paris.

The coldest was camping in January in Sweden beyond the Arctic Circle.
