ABOUT ME

I just finished up my M.Arch in May 2009, and was married in June. It's been over a year since the wedding and a lot has happened. We traveled Europe, worked back in Moscow, and made an impulsive move to Seattle, where we have been enjoying everything that we love. I enjoy spending my time to see what I can, and I hope to travel to over 100 countries sometime in my life.... (I'm currently at 13... so I have a ways to go) I love art, architecture, music, a place with a good vibe, the eccentric and unique. I love a good conversation, with a glass of beer or wine.... or even just the conversation. I hope to meet as many interesting people on my travels and through hosting

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life... I think about everything, though sometimes the stupidest things come out of my mouth. I am who I am, more than likely it's not going to change, but I love to hear other's opinions on the world, and compare them to mine. My life has an awesome soundtrack that is constantly playing in my head, everyone should be so lucky to hear it.... though it is more random than most people would like.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am down for whatever, a quick drink, or a couch to sleep on. I want to see the places I visit from the eyes of someone that lives there rather than just as a tourist. I find the best places in the world to see are the ones only locals know about.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've been out of the loop for a while, due to massive amounts of schooling and lacking a social life. However, I love Closer, Love Actually, Amelie, Memento, Little Miss Sunshine, Kill Bill, Kill Bill 2, Deathproof, Oceans 11, 12 and 13.... the list continues..... oh and I never complain to watching Hugh Jackman without his shirt on.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen the sun rise and set 5 times without sleeping... not really amazing but a life of necessity... I think that the fjords of Norway are beautiful, and to watch the fog rise with the sun in the background is one of the most spiritual moments you can have with nature.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn about the places I visit, not the things that I can read in a book, but the feelings and memories I can gain from a place. I want to see the places that the everyday person goes, and experience the life of the person that lives there, rather than see every attraction that is available.
