ABOUT ME

I'm an explorer, food-lover and dreamer and love drifting around great places, meeting inspiring people and learning from them. I don't plan a lot, because I love the spontaneity of the moment. I love nature, sports and music, but if you're passionate about it, I'm easy to interest in almost anything.

Currently, I'm really interested in cooking, creative meals and responsible nutrition. I really enjoy finding new tastes and recipes! I don't like industrial mass production and what we're doing in order to get more, cheaper, "safer" and much more boring food.

I'm also really fond of hiking, skiing and outdoor sports in general. I find nature really fascinating, although I know much too little about the many plants and creatures that surround us. I love both the rush going down a hill and the stillness of the moment when you realize how little a piece you are in this big, incredible world.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I like to host, surf and participate in community events (which I tend to do more often while I'm traveling). If you're staying at my place, I enjoy showing you around the city, hanging out in a pub, partying all night or simply relaxing on my couch with a glass of wine and a good conversation.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My CS experience started with an amazing summer camp in Ireland. I met so many nice people there that I was immediately hooked. Since then, I hosted and surfed a couple of times and took part in community events. I guess my greatest experience so far was a week of camping in California's Yosemite National park under the open sky with a bunch of CS guys, which was fun and absolutely breathtaking.

Depending on my mood I enjoy Jazz, Rock, Electronic and Classical. Currently listening to The Police. I love live concerts.

I don't like TVs. I don't have any, so I'm not an expert on movies, but I try to catch up by following recommendations and watching them on my computer.

The last good book I read was "A thousand splendid suns" by Khaled Hosseini. Heart-shaking and highly recommended.

Standing on top of a 3500m (11500ft) peak in the Alps in Winter, with hundreds of snow-covered mountains all around as far as I could see.

Meeting a lovely Portuguese girl during my travels in Ireland and spontaneously finding myself in Portugal for a week, discovering that Lisbon and Portuguese people are really amazing!

Sleeping under the open sky in the wilderness of California's mountains for a week, surrounded by wonderful sunsets, sunrises and starlit nights.
