Overview
About Me
Shortly I'll start on a 4.5 month trip from Germany to Japan bei train across whole Asia. No planes will be taken, I just travel like locals do: by train, bus, boat, ...! There'll be lots to talk about. I'm glad to meet you!
Hi, I'm Ferry, an easygoing guy, interested in meeting friendly people around the globe. Thus, traveling is an important part of my life. It gives me inspiration for my job as a Transportation Consultant. I'd be glad if you support me in this! And: I'll be glad to help you!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
In my opinion Couchsurfing is an excellent way to meet people and to get to know other cultures. This is really true: I could write books about my couchsurfing experiences! Since my registration in 2008 I've had the chance to meet many wonderful people – either at my home, when I hosted or at their home, when I was their guest. From time to time this was the start of a very good friendship.
Summarized, my travels would have been half that interesting if there was no couchsurfing.

Music, Movies, and Books
There's no special music I'm listening to – I'm mostly flexible.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The probably most amazing thing I'm doing is my trip now! Exploring the world – what big chance! Not justing watching news to see what's going on in the world. No, I'm directly experiencing the world! Great!
One amazing thing I've experienced: On my trip to Russia, Ukraine and Moldova: Talking to a guy, who is escaping from Ukraine to Belarus hoping for a better life there - without any documents. Can you believe that he earns just 4 USD a day? Furthermore, he doesn't know his parents, his adoptive parents booze – he has nothing to loose! Wish you the best – Good luck, man!
Teach, Learn, Share
Knowing the countries' language is a basis for understanding the people. Unfortunately I don't speak 22 languages. However I'd appreciate when you teach me your language. Of course I'm happy to pass to you also my language skills. :-)
