About Me

I grew up on the Austrian countryside, enjoying farm work and nature a lot. Nevertheless I always loved to broaden my horizon by travelling and have worked in 5 different countries on 3 different continents so far. Whether it is gardening cooking, psychology, philosophy or previous adventures, sharing knowledge and the one or other good story is one of the main reasons why I am eager to meet new people. And I am a big fan of every kind of food I can possibly try, no matter how special it is :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After having stayed at hostels most of my travelling so far, I realised that it is not always so easy to socialise with people there in only such a short time. Staying with a Couchsurfing host definitely would be an opportunity to really get to know locals and hear the one or other good story about the country you are visiting :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I find in any genre of music at least a few good pieces, whether it may be classic, pop, rock, metal, alternative, instrumentar or orchestral music :)
I used to read a lot, mainly novels but also different fictional and non-fictional books... I hope I get some time to read a good book again while travelling now...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

...was probably running around barefoot in Rome for a day, because the airport lost all my baggage and it was already too late for any stores to be opened, so I decided to just not bother... And the following day I visited the Forum Romanum where being barefoot is nothing special... However that taught me how lucky one is with a decent pair of shoes! :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would be happy to share some recipes and my cooking skills with a host, also I can play the piano and do some yoga :) And I am sure there is loads of knowledge still waiting out there to be exchanged ;)
