Visão geral
Sobre Mim
I am 40, originally from Malta but living in London since May 2011. I am cheerful, friendly, loyal, clean, and a non-smoker.
I work in a cancer research charity.
For many years I was involved in the gay rights movement in Malta. I would like to provide a safe space to stay for LGBT+ travellers. And yes that includes trans travellers.
I speak fluent English, Italian and Maltese, decent Spanish, and a smattering of French.
Por que estou no Couchsurfing?
I have couchsurfed in 8 countries, spread over 5 continents: in Singapore, all over Australia, in the USA, in Amsterdam and Berlin, and in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay. You can read some references below.
I have a few weeks in summer 2024 when I can return the favour and host some travellers.
As I type this into the Couchsurfing app, I am sitting on a train between Bucharest and Brașov, travelling with someone who hosted me on Couchsuring in Perth, in December 2012. Making life-long friends is possible!

Músicas, Filmes e Livros
I love musicals, with my favourite being Les Miserables. I have been known to burst into sudden renditions of 'One day more' and 'Do you hear the people sing?' but I promise to control my urge to do so when in your home or presence.
After having fallen in love with the ukulele at my couchsurfing host's home in Singapore, I bought one in London. I now sometimes attend ukulele jams around London and enjoy it a great deal. All thanks to Couchsurfing!
Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz
- spent 5 months travelling all over Australia between December 2012 and May 2013 (including a day at the Great Ocean Road with my CS host in Melbourne; 3 days camping around Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park in central Australia; 3 days camping in Wilsons Promontory in Victoria)
- crossed Australia by long-distance trains (The Indian Pacific from west to east, then The Ghan from north to south)
- a 3 month sabbatical in Argentina, Chile and Uruguay in 2016/17
- watched a handball semi-final match at Olympics 2012 and went to the Olympic Stadium twice during Paralympics 2012. Breathtaking atmosphere and unforgettable experience.
O Que Posso Compartilhar com Anfitriões
I can teach you basic words in Maltese, tell you about life in London and Malta, show you my hand-painted flags, sing with you through many songs from musicals and The Dubliners (only if you want to!), teach you basic ukulele chords.
