About Me

Check out my (old) CS "About Me":
https://www.couchsurfing.com/users/1098848/profile/legacy
...mean couchsurfing remakings, however, deleted most of the bullshit I tediously amassed during 6 years of CS membership. Shame on you CS.

One day I'll be married with 3 children and 2 wives and some lovers and delete this account.
Until then I can teach you how to correctly pronounce Rindfleischetikettierungsüberwachungsaufgabenübertragungsgesetz. But that's just the tip of the iceberg. My versatility is sheer limitless.

CURRENT MISSION
Trade my A4 sheet of paper for an Audi of the same type.

ABOUT ME
Yepp, I'm German; I'm gonna give you a few moments so that you can mentally browse thru all the stereotypes you now have. German excellence: precission, on-time, engineering, beer, soccer, cars, starting/loosing world wars. Btw that moustached angry little dictator guy was austrian.
...
Done? Good, let's get on:
I love Juicy Fruit chewing gum; I like to sip Cherry Cokes, Mint Juleps 'n Old Fashioneds, and nibble on beef steaks. Climb mountains, go out partying, break the sound barrier on my race bike and stroll around pretty much anywhere. Some calisthenics, mediation, cooking, work in the garden are also bernhardish activities. I read excessive amounts and I have this odd obsession about equity risk premiums 'n other weird capital markets' shit; hey c'mon, i was born like this :)

Previously, I lived and worked in Lima and Toronto; and back home in Germany. I lived 20+ years in zee Vaterland, so it was time to get out of zerre...currently I work in Salzburg / expat wherever one of our subsidiaries needs my advice, recently that's in Hungary. Yepp, that´s it in a nutshell. M'kay?

Oh, did you know: 111,111,111 x 111,111,111 = 12,345,678,987,654,321

Furthermore, I'm a good procrastinator. I will tell you more about that, later.
...I still owe some 70ish references to my ex guests. It shall be done! Soon.

PHILOSOPHY
Make sure the juice is worth the squeeze.

Music, Movies, and Books

something to watch: BBC Planet Earth, Baraka (&all other Ron Fricke movies), Band of Brothers, Yes Minister, Man of the Year, Thank You for Smoking, The Shawshank Redemption, Stranger Than Fiction, Fight Club (violating the first two rules).

and listen to: Prokofiev, Grieg, Chopin, but also electro/deep house: Nu, Solomun, Worakls. Some jazzy tunes and a buttload of rock bands who are fucking cool as hell. Wolfmother, Mastodon and such...

Well, yeah. I read tons, and all kinds of stuff. Sexy corporate annual reports, car manuals if i'm sitting in a car, instructions on the barf bag while on a plane. I am very much interested in everything. But mostly about companies and their fuck-ups, Peter Drucker`s writings, Kahneman/Tversky, Kafka, Dostoyevsky, Hemingway, Camus, Ayn Rand and lot of other cool shit.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Saw and experienced avalanches (btw, what a beatiful sounding word!), flow of giant glaciers in Iceland and Greenland, cubic-mile icebergs in the northern arctic circle, earthquakes in Peru, arctic sunsets, lightning storms/supercells, snowstorms. Apparently I am impressed by natural phenomena.
Broke into the Vatican Gardens and was hunted down by half a dozen Swiss guards - and now that I lost Pascal's Wager and will be doom'd in hell, I can just do shit anyway.

One night I had that dream of eating a giant marshmallow, the next morning my pillow was gone.

investing/short selling
lots of other rather useless fun crap

Furthermore, I can teach you how to play John Cage's 4'33" composition on piano (or, for that matter, on any other instrument):
