About Me

I'm a water resources engineer with a passion for traveling, adventures, good food and meeting new people. I also love exercise, learning languages, and beaches! My dream is to work in a career where I am always able to travel and explore the world. Somehow, I'm a hybrid between an engineer and a teacher, both of which I strive to always be improving at.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to meet new people, and experience new places, and any input from people living nearby has always been infinitely useful on my travels. I'm also a believer in the backpacker code, and I love the idea of strangers helping strangers.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm pretty easy when it comes to music, I like a lot of top 40, chill, acoustic, and occasionally even some country when I'm missing home. I have to admit, I'm usually reading for work, so usually related to water resources or teaching pedagogy or something of the sort. At the moment, I'm reading Nelson Mandela's biography, but then I do love South Africa. I also love all things movies, though my top ones are pretty cheesy, Harry Potter, Thelma and Louise, and anything scary is great.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm very proud of the fact that I learned Spanish while traveling in Central America, and traveled on my own for 9 months. That was a life-changing experience for me, and I hope to have many more, maybe someday with a partner.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I hope to be able to host the people who host me, and since I am always moving around the world, I think I'm an interesting person to have on your contact list. I also want to share my positive energy, have some fun on the town, and talk about life over a drink.
