My name is Bernardo and cooking for me is a language which allows me to transform my thoughts and ideas into something concrete, in the form of delicious and esthetic dishes. I have a huge passion for life and a fascination for everything, and the kitchen for me is the place where I can give that passion a shape.

I'm an Italian chef, born in Caracas, Venezuela on April 21, 1989. I currently live in Turku, Finland but travel around the world meeting new people and chasing new experiences. My professional career began as a child, surrounded by the most authentic and unforgettable Italian flavors while working in our family resort. My mother and the surrounding nature have taught me to appreciate small acts of kindness as well as the value and beauty of simplicity. The importance of quality and above all the unprofitable treasure of working with others, learning from both employees and customers.

My professional career has gotten it's start in ALMA, the International School of Italian Cuisine. Furthermore it has been shaped in the Locanda Margon, Chef Alfio Ghezzi's 2 Michelin Star restaurant. In my current city Turku I have worked as a head chef in both Sergio's and Sointu during the past couple of years. As a chef I have also been employed in countries such as Switzerland, U.S, Italy, Barbados and the Netherlands.
