About Me

I'm a laidback person, who doesn't plan a lot of stuff ahead, but sometimes is too scared to live in the moment and follow instincts. However, I am inverting that tendency and feeling very good about it!
I always try to be nice to everyone and am, sometimes, a bit naïve. Being nice to people has brought niceness towards me. What you give is what you get and I feel very lucky with what I've been given.
I am generally happy and, whenever I'm down, the feeling fades away rather quickly.
I think I have a cool sense of humour, but I am respectful of other people's beliefs and boundaries.
I'm a clean and tidy person. Not at an OC level, but I like having things organized.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because it seems like a good way to meet people from different cultures, people who actually want to get to know other people, since they put themselves out there on a network like Couchsurfing. I've seen a lot of people having great and valuable experiences from Couchsurfing and I want a taste of it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to plenty of genres, but mostly alternative music, jazz and world music. Some of my favourite artists are Deerhunter, Vampire Weekend, Joanna Newsom, Radiohead, Wild Beasts, The Drums, St. Vincent, Parquet Courts, Sade, and the list goes on.
In terms of movies, I'm not a blockbuster guy. I like dramas, movies with quirky and well crafted stories, tour de force acting, beautiful cinematography, but not necessarily all at the same time. Among my favourite ones, I include The Tree of Life (Terrence Malick), Dogtooth (Yorgos Lanthimos), Under the Skin (Jonathan Glazer) and Vicky Cristina Barcelona (Woody Allen).
My favourite books are 1984 (George Orwell), One Hundred Years of Solitude (Gabriel García Marquéz), The Unbearable Lightness of Being (Milan Kundera) and Candido (Leonardo Sciascia).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to a friend's wedding in Moldova and had a layover in Turkey, which was a pretty amazing experience, since it was the first time travelling on my own. But I have other amazing things thought out for the future.

Teach, Learn, Share

I feel like a newbie in so many things. I really want to learn other languages (mostly Italian), how to play instruments, about photography, cooking... I want to learn more about people and different cultures.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I adore discussing culture and arts, sharing points of view and learning, so I can provide what some may consider interesting conversations; maybe over some wine and good music. I can share whatever little piece of knowledge I have.
I also love spreading the portuguese cuisine, so I can cook something special.

Countries I’ve Visited

Andorra, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Croatia, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Moldova, Montenegro, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Romania, Scotland, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In
