About Me

Hi! I`m Bernardo, and along with my brother Santiago will be traveling around Europe! Our goal on this trip is to discover the essence of each place we visit, we are always up to adventures. I´m currently studying sustainable development, so I`m interested on everything that comes around the topic. I have diverse interests, but art, music, architecture and design are my main at the moment. I seek experiences and love to make a positive impact in others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to have the experience of couch surfing. I had never done something like this, not because I didn't wanted to, just because I never had the chance! It will be very interesting to meet people from all over the world and hear what they have to share and share our thoughts back. Besides, no one knows better a city that it´s own citizen.

Music, Movies, and Books

It´s difficult for me to name a favorite music because I enjoy it all. My top 5 right now are Angus Stone, Bon Iver (this one is always on my top), Beach House, Father John Misty and Whitney. Maybe when we meet I´ll have a different top.
As for movies I enjoy the cult ones, particularly The Big Lebowski. Also I´m a Star Wars fan.
When it comes to literature I prefer latin american authors. The mexican Juan Rulfo and the chilean Isabel Allende are my favorite ones because of their descriptive narrative and the ability to capture the essence of their people at their time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once while living in northern Italy I had the chance to have a moonlighted trail on the heavy snowed wilderness. I don`t remember any other time that I could actually see the stars so neat and shiny, along with the snow-covered trees and the impotent mountains on both sides. It was something that changed my way to see nature. It inspired me to take the vow of taking full care of our beautiful planet.

Teach, Learn, Share

I´m always up to tell stories. I´m very descriptive and detailed while telling them, so you will be able to understand on many levels what I´ll tell you. We can share our mexican culture with you, maybe even a dinner. Maybe we can share some songs if you have a guitar or a piano! I also have some knowledge of biology and sustainable architecture, so if you want to know something about it, I will gladly tell you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I´ll pack a lot of Mexican candy, coffee and maybe even some good tequila to share with you! If we hit a bar, the first round it´s on me!
