Overview
About Me
This is Bernardo. Bernardo is a young and so-called designer, photographer and artist who has grown up in 7 different brazilian cities because of his funky, cross-country, 8 brothers, multi-marriage, complicated family.
He spends most of his days taking and editing photos, studying about art and sociology, taking short travels and doing projects with friends and local artists. Has been involved with mahayana-buddhism for many years and has a half self-loving, half existentialist-dread humour.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've always wanted to be part of the community but lived with my parents and always traveled to family and friends houses. Now I share a shitty apartment with my photoshop-wizard, diabetes-inducing cook, possibly within the asperger's spectrum roommate Alan (see friends list). I'm hyped to receive people, go on unusual adventures and visit new places.
Interests
Traveling has been a fundamental part of my life since I was born, my parents are separated and in general my family lives scattered across this continental-sized country. So since I was a baby I've been moving to and visiting many areas of Brazil , and now traveling has become part of my regular existence.
I've also worked as a designer since I was very young and then quit my job and dropped out of a top university after discovering photography, which is my ultimate obsession right now.

Music, Movies, and Books
I read a lot and spend way more money on books than I should. Every year the only resolution that I really fail is the one of spending less on them. My interests fluctuate but I'm always reading something about philosophy, sociology or art. I'm really into american classics like Jack Kerouac, Sylvia Plath and J. D. Salinger.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I did help fund a millionaire company only to become suspicious of its humanitarian value and moral standings so I refused participation in its shares and earnings and quit it.
