About Me

Laid back, open minded, fun to hangout with, talkative, educated. Really into techno music.

I finished my major in International Marketing Management about 2 years ago and am now working as an SEO Manger from around the world. Before, I've spent a semester abroad on the beautiful islands of Hawai'i. I met lots of people and discovered the joy of sharing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a great way to make friends all over the world and get to know the stuff you would never find in any travel guide!

But don't get me wrong: I don't want to "use" it as a "high quality travel guide", for me it's even more about getting to know the people and the culture. As someone once said "Traveling is like a book and those who do not travel, read only one page."

The community is unique, 'cause most people have in common that they just enjoy exploring and sharing. Although everybody's different, we somehow share many values other people don't.

I love it!

Interests

I love meeting new people, since making new connections is the best way to broaden my horizon and to dive into new perspectives. Everybody has an interesting story to tell: "What's yours?"

I spend most of my pocket money on food, books and knowledge. For me food is pure quality of living, especially when you can share it with someone who's company you really enjoy.

Most of the books I read are about psychology and self-improvement. I'm willing to invest in myself, with time, effort and money.

Every month I pick a date to go to a techno party. Everybody has his taste of music and mine is definitely techno. I enjoy the "collective" rave culture that is unique for each party but still mostly open and kind. I'll tell you more if you're interested.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Forrest Gump, Taken, Drive, Zodiac,

I love movies with a little twist or darkness, therefore my alltime favourite are:
Shutter Island, Memento, Mr. Nobody, Oldboy, The Truman Show, Being John Malkovich, Prestige, Fight Club, A Beautiful Mind, Gattaca, The Machinist, Stay, i Origin.

TV-Series: Breaking Bad, Homeland, House of Cards, Lie to Me, Bloodline, and many more.

And oh yeah, I do have thing for Animes (no kidding): Death Note, Tokyo Ghoul, Ergo Proxy, Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin), ...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've hiked the Kalalau trail (google it!) on the islands of Kauai (Hawaiian Island). It's one of the most beautiful experiences I've ever made.

And I've jumped out of a flying airplaine. But that's become quite mainstream I guess.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a lot about Marketing (well, it's my major). However, I also build websites and help business owner rank better in Google (it's called search engine optimization). To sum up: I'm really into Online Marketing!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Insights into the German culture (it's much more than just Beer, Schnitzel, BMW and Mercedes).

I can try to teach you a few words in German.
I could show you how to build a website.

I can share the experiences I've made in Hawai'i.
We could talk about planned obsolescence, psychology and entrepreneurship.

My path to self employment, my way of building routines and finding balance between the on- and offline world (conscious computing)
