Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
after 9 months travelling in Asia... it is time to give birth to something better back home ;-)
ABOUT ME
from Barcelona, professional jazz pianist & composer, also a blogger about secular Buddhism. I like creativity and travelling. Love languages too.
PHILOSOPHY
Constantly developing it. Let's talk about it ;-)
Pragmatism as a medicine for the "i am right" deep-seated tendencies; understanding before judging; the compassionate and caring action instead of the unthinking ethically-stablished "right" action.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Just back from a long trip, so not yet sure I can host right now. (I hope to update this section soon)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Not a lot, but all experiences I had so far have been great!
Interests
Jazz. Creativity. The problem of expression: its opportunities, limits and challenges.
Buddhism, meditation and modern concepts of religion/spirituality/human development (i'm not into stone energies, chakras and the 'supernatural', but I respect it, I can appreciate it and maybe learn something form it).
Reading & writing. Watching films & documentaries.
Languages. Travelling (street food!). Being in touch with different cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books
Swing, jazz and blues, funk, pop rock, even some classical. I appreciate music that is personal to the composer/interpreter.
Books: Kafka, Beckett, Oscar Wilde, César Vallejo, Murakami, Mishima, Monzó, short stories; essays on philosophy & religion and queer topics.
Films: not so much into thrillers, terror and apocalyptic movies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once spent almost one week cut-off from the outer world, without water or electricity in a village in the foothills of the himalayas, because of a heavy snowstorm. Quite an experience XD
Teach, Learn, Share
Things I know and can talk about: music - my area is especially early jazz and blues, literature (would love to know more), Tibetan culture, Buddhist philosophy. I have a conversational level in Tibetan language, always happy to practice it and improve it.
Also love to exchange recipes from different parts of the world. Isn't it great to talk about food? :-)
