About Me

Friendly and modest, interested in nature and environment, aiming to live my life in a way of leaving behind only a moderate or better small footprint on planet earth.
Open and interested in other people to hear their opinions and share my views without claiming to be right.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Just starting the first time to look for a host in Norway, being on 'the hunt' to see aurora borealis - would be fantastic to be lucky and experience it.
And indeed I have been lucky to see them - great experience!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like music a lot, most types & styles.

Books, yes there are some I read, while not so much into reading, most in memory is 'The Swarm' from Schaetzing, 'Woman in the mist - the story about Dian Fossey' from Mowat, 'Sheltering Desert' from Martin, 'Siddhartha' from Hesse, 'The Winds of Change: Climate, Weather, and the Impact on Civilizations' from Lindner, 'The third chimpanzee' from Diamond and 'Chimpanzee politics' from De Waal.

Movies? Rarest Hollywood productions, but very often BBC documentaries, especially when Sir David Attenborough is explaining.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

or perhaps better - what amazes me a lot.

The desert of Egypt and Namibia & the wildlife in southern and eastern Africa.
The Northern Lights in Tromsoe, Norway and as a surplus some humpback whales in the fjords around. :-)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Humor, but also a serious conversation.

Countries I’ve Lived In

Germany, Italy, Myanmar, Sierra Leone, South Sudan
