Music, Movies, and Books
There is a quote from Jimmy Hendrix that goes "Music is my religion." and I found that to be more and more accurate for myself over the years.
My first passion was HipHop/Rap, but over the years the Rock genre has clearly taken over.
Inside this large genre I can enjoy many different styles, but things that I have been listening extensively to lately include some indie (e.g. The Lumineers), some alternative (e.g. Oasis), some german (e.g. Revolverheld), some punk (e.g. Blink 182), and Fleetwood Mac. I mean how good is Fleetwood Mac ....
Also I like to play the guitar myself, as well as to sing. The next step on this journey will be to play at open mic sessions, which I look very much forward to. 🎸
-----------------------------------------------------------------
I am also enthusiastic about TV-series like e.g. Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, The Sopranos, House of Cards, or Six Feet Under. On the side of sitcoms, I would point towards Scrubs, How I Met Your Mother, and Friends as my all-time favorites.
Although I am more of a 'series-person' than a 'movies-person', some of my favorite movies include Fight Club, Good Fellas, American History X, or Das Boot. Yet, I can also enjoy simpler movies and comedies like for example The Hangover or Superbad.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Backpacking through Vietnam & Portugal. ☀️
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy learning and discussing different languages. The ones that I am fluent in include German, English, and Norwegian. Obviously, I am happy to share my knowledge in any of these with anyone interested.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Most importantly a safe place to stay, since I can differentiate between couchsurfing and dating, and expect my guests to do the same. Besides, I have profound knowledge about the country and the city, since I worked as a tourist guide next to my studies.
