About Me
I love to travel, but now the time to work and study has come. I currently live in Heredia (home town), pretty nice city as it is located basically near everything. 20 minutes from the international airport, 20 minutes from San Jose (without traffic jam right?) 15 minutes to the mountains, which is awesome because one of them is a volcano, Barva volcano (it is a national park). Heredia is a smooth city, nightlife is great, we have thousand of students in Heredia so nightlife is pretty intense on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
I work at Amazon as an Instructional designer and I study some related stuff.
I love languages, currently speak fluently Spanish, English and Portuguese. I also speak German, I lived in Germany in 2010, but my fluency is not that good, can understand and keep a chat for a while, but please do not go to deep with political or related topics because I will get lost.
I love sports, can't imagine my life without them, any sports, you name it and I will be good at it, I bet you! But I am passionate about Soccer, biking, golf (I was a caddie when I was 15 and I have my own clubs), poker (play online and in real presence, but I am not a pro), video games but most likely FIFA.
I love to watch soccer games, I am a Real Madrid big fan. I do not hate Barcelona fans, I just think RM is way better. Normal stuff you know?
I love beer, no rum, no wine, no heavy alcohol, just beer, I would drink one beer every day if possible, Germans say beer is healthy if you drink one at least per day. I kept that behavior since my departure from Germany. I just love beer, but do not get me wrong, you won't see me drunk. I can handle 6 or 8 beers and I am good to go to sleep afterwards. If we hang out, I will drink 1 or 2 because I like to drive too. In CR you are allowed to drink up to 2 beers when driving.
I love my car, nothing special but it takes me anywhere.
I studied International Tourism for a while, hence, I may be the right person to reach out when it comes to tips and good information about CR.
So, having said that, I take my knowledge to another level. You want to try the best beers in town? ask me. You want to explore or hike around the area and save some money at the same time? ask me. You need to do shopping and save money? ask me. You smoke and want some good stuff for an acceptable price? ask me. Non smokers, do not take me wrong. Most of the youth in Costa Rica smoke weed, it is quite normal. I am just open minded, this does not mean I will smoke with you, unless you want to :), then it is on me!
Same goes if you want to practice any sports, there are plenty space for practicing sports in Heredia, just ask.
Since I am in another great chapter of my life, I can't guarantee a place to crash at home, but if you want to hang out, get to know Heredia, please get in contact with me. If we schedule accordingly, I can pick you up and have a good time for some hours or so. I love to meet new people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I heard some great things about it so I decided to try it out when I was living in Manuel Antonio. Now I see that the website has become better, there are other options to try out, that is why.
