About Me

I am an overly-talkative twenty-something, currently studying conference interpreting in Budapest. I love all things sustainable or green. Oh and food. and cooking.
I have a second home in Italy and I am slowly becoming more and more Italian. Or at least I hope so :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am currently looking for a relatively flat surface to sleep on in Strasbourg on the 28 April. I will be participating in the Model European Union Strasbourg. My return flight was less stressful for the 28th and I would also be keen on seeing some of the city but accomodation is only covered until the 27th.

I think couchsurfing is the most flexible way of finding an accommodation during one's travels and it has the potential of offering much more than a simple hostel.

Interests

I am passionate about environmental protection, however since I failed at Chemistry and Biology I am not actually studying it. I live a low-waste life style. (I am the weird person who carries utensils, loves trifting, rubs coffee grounds on her face and avoids single-use plastic like it's the devil.)
I get around by bike most of the time, it is liberating.
I love cooking and eating, both are best done in good company.
I do not eat meat but do not fear, this is something I do not talk about unless you want me to.
I spend a lot of time with plants. I love working in the garden and I grow fantastic tomatoes.

Music, Movies, and Books

I occasionally dust off Ludovico Einaudi, the Lumineers or Adele.
I discovered the fascinating genre of Italian pop and indie pop in September, 2017. Since then I have been listening almost exclusively to Pollio, Motta, Pinguini Tattici Nucleari, Le Luci Della Centrale Elettrica, Lo Stato Sociale, Gazzelle, Levante and Ultimo (etc.).

Higher education temporarily killed my love for reading I am hoping to get back into it ASAP.

I love movies with subtitles (i.e. foreign language films). Sci-fi, action and animation make me doze off.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jumped off my bike to grab a slow hedgehog that otherwise would have been run over by a car. I threw it in the bushes nearby. It survived. ( I returned to check upon it because I felt guilty )

What I Can Share with Hosts

Another point of view, my cultural background and, as cheesy as it sounds, a good laugh.
