Hello, I'm Bert from Belgium.

I'm independent but very social and I always like meeting interesting people.
I like travelling with friends as much as travelling alone.

Used to work in the transport business, doing international express deliveries.
Used to enjoy my freedom with a VW Old-timer campervan.
Then realised you have more freedom without all that.

I have a passion for photography.
I go somewhere to make pictures, but I travel to make memories !

Combined with my urge for adventure I end up pretty often on unusual places such as abandoned locations, rooftops or underground mines and quarries. But I also love photographing cityscapes, nature and portraits.

Apart from visiting unusual locations I also like doing normal things, such as walks true nature, exploring the cultural diversity and creativity in larger cities or just chilling in the park with some nice people.

But beware, most of the time I will be scouting for new locations to photograph during sunset or sunrise. And when feeling comfortable you'll have to hear dozens of bad jokes and silly wordplays :-)

I require a very low standard of comfort, yet that doesn't influences basic hygiene. However I tend to pain in my back after sleeping on bad supporting surfaces, certainly when traveling with a heavy backpack.

My music taste is incredibly diverse. I like diverse styles and bands, depending on my mood. It ranges from genres between Blues, Rock, Metal, Reggae, Hip-hop, and various electronic music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Spending a week all alone in Denmark and Sweden, road-tripping and wildcamping in my VW T3 campervan.

- Climbing a construction crane on top of a large abandoned building in the centre of London to take some pictures

- Spending 3 days and 2 nights in the underground quarries near Paris

- Visiting some abandoned warships with a rubber boat. On the way back my paddles broke causing my boat to drift away by the strong current, forcing me to swim back to the cliffs in the cold water and wait for my friends to come rescue me

- Sinking that same rubber boat in an underground quarry 3 days later.

- After more then 48h on the road, we arrived at an abandoned hospital in the middle of the night and decided to sleep there on our thin uncomfortable Sleeping Pads. Next day we found a whole room stocked with comfortable mattresses.
