About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Training to be the next avenger!

ABOUT ME

Living just outside of Vancouver, BC. I travel alot and I was in the reserves. I lived in Nurnberg Germany for 3 years with the Canadian Army. I travel often for fun i like to learn about different cultures and I love people. I think you learn more about yourself through other people when your focusing on helping other people. I dont have kids and live alone.

PHILOSOPHY

Kerouac is 1 of my heroes, he spent 7 years working crap jobs to fund his travels and he was completely unapologetic about it. I think the way he lived is admirable and something to aspire to. According to Kerouac, success is to be in love with your life. I am trying desperately to do the same.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love to couchsurf while traveling so that I can see the city with someone that knows it, but also I really enjoy hosting.

Since moving to Vancouver I had the opportunity to host about once a week and truly enjoyed it. I love the exchange of ideas with people from all over the world who share their views on life, the universe, and everything with me. So far I've been introduced to local dishes, workaway, and juggling; I'm sure I'll have another new interest after my next surfer visits.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed with someone in Toronto that I met at Bonnaroo, it's unfortunate that she isn't on CouchSurfing because she and her boyfriend were the most amazing guides to an amazing city!

Two friends and I stayed in an amazing flat in Granada with five university students, and on one night five other couchsurfers as well. The place was an amazing mix of people from Spain to Turkey and various countries in between.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like punk, classic rock and some metal. Movies. I've watched fight club far too many times man, I've bonded with many good people over Monty Python movies and I've forced quite a few loved ones to sit through my Star Trek movie collection.
Current favorite show is VEEP

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think travel right now, is the most incredible thing I've done. As a child I was criminally shy, so travel has forced me to confront the world and people as they really are and it turns out, I rather like it.

Discovering that there is a world outside of small town Ontario, is amazing lol.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm always open to learn things I never would have encountered, had I not travelled.
I would like to learn conversational German, as my skills are pretty basic right now. In exchange I can give conversational English lessons.
I know how to throw a good party and have fun, I'll take whatever you've got in exchange: )

Countries I’ve Visited
