About Me
Hello! I'm currently 30 years old and i live in the beautiful town of Amsterdam in The Netherlands, although I'm originally from Belgium. In 2015, I cycled 10,000 km in 6 months, from Belgium to Tadjikistan, and I've stayed with many CSers along the way (Travel blog: bertrijst.tumblr.com). That was an awesome experience, so I'd like to return the favor and host some people myself.
When not working I like to hang out with my friends, watch series, cook and eat, listen to music, work out etcetera. I have travelled quite a bit in the last years.
Note for potential guests: since Amsterdam is a popular destination, I'm getting flooded with requests and i sometimes lose track. Me and my housemates tend to pick one person per week max. from all the requests. Things that will bump you up our list of candidates: i) references, ii) being on a bicycle trip, iii) interesting background stories, iv) you can teach us something about you and your country. Things that will bump you down the list: stating that you want a host just because you don't want to pay for a hotel. CS is about cultural exchange, not free lodging ;)
