ABOUT ME

Single 40-something, happy, easy going female looking for world friends and connections. Enjoy meeting and hosting people. Wanting to volunteer and see the world and get to know people in their own environments. Usually work with people going through transitions and enjoy using love and humor to uplift the situation. Would love to live abroad at some point, but for now, am finding ways to get out of the country here and there.

PHILOSOPHY

I had cancer last year. I never imagined that happening. While my relationships are pretty great, I realized there are things I want to do that I had not been making time for, adventure, play, creativity. I think the more we know ourselves, the more we can be present with others. The greatest gift one person can give another is to see them deeply and mirror that back to them...

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My home was unavailable all last year due to an illness in family but beginning in August, I'll be able to start hosting people and connecting more.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't "officially" couchsurfed this site though have been fortunate to have had friends and friends of friends put me up when I've been on the road. So much prefer getting to know someone in a new destination than simply observing as a tourist.

Music, Movies, and Books

I don't usually have one specific thing that jumps to mind. I can wander a bookstore for hours and be happy in almost any section. I appreciate movies that demonstrate the perseverance of the human spirit, an intelligent comedy, a good thriller, or anything that makes me cry.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Loved full out. No excuses. No withholds. No holdbacks or being afraid.

The most amazing thing I've done? Gotten through cancer with grace, humor, friends, and peace. No small feat.

I'm an expert of relationships, helping people understand themselves and each other better... from understanding why someone does what they do to how to communicate something so that someone else gets it, I help people build bridges, create connections and powerfully move projects forward.
