I have a cat named Phat Steve
...like Stevie Nicks, not Stevie Ray Vaughn.
I am going to learn to play the accordion.

A good friend once told me that
I am an idealist trapped in a realist's body.
I liked that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

This was my first couchsurfing.com experience, 'I just started seasonal unemployment and have decided to go adventuring. Not sure where I'll go but I think I'll leave tomorrow. I just heard about this site and am doing a bit of a rush job to fill in my details and discover how this project works. I'm intrigued, very intrigued'.
My trip was fantabulous.
I'm gonna do it again and again and again...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My longest couchsurfing experience was a few years ago in northern Ontario.I accepted a job horse-logging at a certified-sustainable forest.My employer was ready for me to begin work but not ready to put me up in accommodations.I started couchsurfing with some lovely ladies who worked at the forest.I enjoyed living with them so much that I ended up on their couch for almost two months.Comfort with people can easily supersede comfort of sleep.

Interests

I eat vegetables. I ride my bicycle. I work in the woods. I ride my bicycle. I make quilts. I take public transit. I ogle. I attempt to talk politics. I ride my bicycle. I run with pigeons...sometimes while riding my bicycle.
