About Me

ABOUT ME

Well - here is the standard nice introduction: I'm an artist and a bit of a musician, open minded, friendly, thinking, curious and talkative guy, traveled and lived around half the globe and have great friends in many cities. I work mainly in animation, graphics and illustration. I play in a band, and also do classical massage (I studied 1 year). I read a lot. I don't have a good memory for facts, names and dates, but I comprehend and can have a conversation almost with everybody about almost anything.
Being in a company and is as equally great as being alone and become serious. I can balance between the two easily.
I never try to change anybody - I prefer to accept people for what they are and every individual is interesting with their own weird ways.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read a lot, whenever I have time.
I love good cinema.
Most of my friends are musicians and I play myself too. I listen and watch anything that is interesting in any way. Questions like "what music do you listen to?" or "what films do you watch?" are very rhetoric and never have definite answer. I constantly find something new or old to interest me, and it can differ completely from previous interests. Things change, tastes elaborate, my perception develops (or maybe deteriorates :)), so there is never definite answer. I can, though, generally say that underground is of more interest to me than what's on top.
I do have some favorite masterpieces in cinema though - “Holy Mountain” by Alejandro Jodorowski, “Yatinsotests” by Alibuster studio, “Picasso's Adventures” by Tagge Danielson to name a few. Recent favorite book “Moby Dick” by Melville, “Ulisses” by Joyce, “Fairytale of New York” by Donleavy, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. My first memory as a child. It's nothing special, but the fact I realize that I remember myself.
2. Participating in Archeological expedition in South Siberia in years 1987, 1988 - the most amazing travel, nature and social experience I ever had and remember most vividly.
3. After spending the childhood in the Soviet Union, with the capitalist world hidden from our eyes, I immigrated to Israel - another world, that I never knew before. And I love it!
4. Birth of my son in 2010

Teach, Learn, Share

People can teach without teaching. But also there is some specific stuff I am quite good at –
animation, drawing, playing Jew's Harp - this little unique instrument has amazing qualities and sounds, and is quite easy to learn and play.
Massage - don't worry, no erotic connotations, I actually am good at therapeutic massage.
