ABOUT ME

Doris: I'm a teacher and have one grown-up daughter.
I'm tall and slim, like laughing a lot. I'm an outcoming, open-minded person, who likes to meet new people and to get in contact with new cultures.

Bettina: I'm a teacher as well for History and German and also for German as a foreign language. I could write the same as my mum did...tall, slim, etc. ;) Travelling is my greatest passion. I've been to the States several times, to Australia for three months (camping adventure), to most parts of Western Europe and so on. I love to meet new friends from all over the world and CS just seems to be the right place to go about that...

Bettina: Happiness is the only thing that doubles when you share it.

Doris has already made her experiences. She could only speak highly of all the hosts she got to know in Australia. With some of them she is still in contact.

Interests

Doris: I love my garden, being in the sunshine, of course travelling, cooking, meeting friends, reading, skiing, cross-country skiing, doing pottery, making jewellery, knitting and my job.

Bettina: I love reading (as a German teacher it's part of the job es well), writing (I work at a local newspaper writing about sport events), singing and dancing. Also I enjoy it to stand in front of a camera every now and then. I adore my nasty but cute cat Malvin and my greatest passion is travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books

Doris: M.A.S.H and the CLOU are my favourite movies although I don't go to the cinema very often.
Beatles, Queen, Brian Adams, Elvis Presley, Robbie Williams, Whitney Houston,...
I like detective stories.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Doris: Mountainbiking in the Rocky Mountains (beginner)
Visiting many European capitals- my favourite is London ( 10 times!). Snorkelling at the Great Barrier Reef.

Bettina: Camping 3 months in Australia, writing my diploma thesis, having nearly 30 different jobs while beeing a student, visiting as many places in the world as possible
