About Me

Hi 😊

I started using Couchsurfing since my first backpacking trip 7 years ago when I was a broke college student. Since then, I've traveled in 4 continents, working random jobs, meeting random people, loving life the best I can.

Here are some of the highlights:
- Studied in Alaska for 2 years and went on many late night drives to see the northern lights
- Hitchhiked around New Zealand (south island)
- Worked in a pub in a mining town in Australia... it was definitely interesting (and rough, very rough)
- Lived in Seoul for a month to learn Korean (forgot most of it)
- Spent 14 months in Latin America trying (struggling) to learn Spanish

The rest of this year, I'm planning to move around North America before possibly moving to Australia for my master's. Or who knows, plans always change.

Interests

I rock climb a bit every now and then, but traveling makes it tough to be consistent.

I enjoy a good night out, bars or clubs. If you also like reggaeton, we will probably get along.
But I also love a chill night on the couch having good conversations.
There's something about sitting around a fire chatting with other travelers. Always feel like a dream.

I'm not a foodie but I love food.
Traveling helped me transform from a picky eater to ... still slightly picky but willing to try almost everything at least once.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveled Ecuador solo for a month with zero Spanish thinking I'd pick it up along the way.

I didn't.

Went back to spend a year in Latin America to learn Spanish. This time I did learn quite a bit.

Also hitchhiked around New Zealand as a solo female traveler when I was 19, I think half the people who picked me up thought I was crazy.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you phrases in Thai, share a few drinks and travel stories.

I'd love to learn anything. Bonus if you could teach me how to cook, dance, or funny phrases from your native language.
