ABOUT ME

I am divorced and living with my 16-year-old daughter part time. My sons are grown and off on their own. Some days I work at home writing articles for magazines and others I am out training to be a special education teacher. The photos in my profile are about five years old. My ex (Debbi) and I maintain joint custody of this CouchSurfing account, so you'll see references left by and for her as well as for me.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I heard about this it was a "wow" moment. My son and I went to Europe (Germany, Austria, Czech Republic and Spain) in 2008. How great is it that we got to meet people like YOU! along the way? Our family has since hosted surfers from near and far.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My son and I surfed four couches on a trip to Europe (Stuttgart, Vienna, Prague and Madrid). All were wonderful experiences. I recommend this mode of travel to anyone who wants to see a little more deeply into the local culture.
