ABOUT ME

Sitting on a porch, drinking a cool beverage, while talking about the state of things is my idea of fun. I'm also partial to cake-baking, concert-going, biking, and reading travel narratives. Hanging out with our chickens is another favorite activity.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is best when it is simple. There's beauty in a flower, a cup of tea, and even sleep.

I'm a traveller and a host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My favorite parts were sitting with my hosts and having some tea or beer and talking about health care, literature, and public transportation. Cooking with them and having a recipe to try at home is also a favorite activity. Oh! And biking through busy streets together is super fun!

When I am not traveling (or ideally, when I am traveling, too), I like to:
* cook.
* eat, especially picnic style.
* go to concerts.
* ride my bike.
* document my life with a camera.
* pick daffodils.
* hang out in coffee shops or parks.
* play made-up card games.
* save injured animals.
* just talk to people.
* search for tree roots that have broken through concrete sidewalks.
* paint and redecorate.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Yes, so many! Driving through the Rockies was awe-inspiring, as was hiking down into the Grand Canyon. Sailing around the fjords of Norway also was majestic. Oh, but the most amazing thing has been getting two degrees studying English Literature.

I can teach you a couple words of Armenian. And tell you about the countries I've already visited. I can also cook with you, teaching you new recipes from the pan-ethnic American kitchen and the Armenian kitchen. I'd love to learn some new recipes as well!
