About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Building Ekotecture and making a film about how we do that. Starting a movement. Ekotecture structures are 100% self sufficient floating architectural spheres, which my late husband invented. I am making a film about how this movement got started.

ABOUT ME I am an artist. I have had exhibitions globally and my art is collected in a few small museums, and by hundreds of folks and businesses. My goal in my work is always upliftment, truth and beauty.

I am a visionary artist. I see things that others do not. I am a free spirit, adventurous, spontaneous, and a people person. I love to connect with people and get them on the mission of building the arks with me! :) I love a good laugh.

PHILOSOPHY

"Never, never, never give up." Winston Churchill If you have a dream, go for it. You will realize it. I am a believer and love God. I am so grateful for knowing Him. Better to keep your mouth shut than to say something that you are thinking.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Met some people in a line for a cool film who told me about this a few years ago and now I find myself traveling and wanting to try it. I couchsurfed in Ireland and made two lifelong friends, who are very dear to me.

Interests

Aside from being an artist, I am a yoga instructor, a meditator. I enjoy teaching my art, and yoga, and organizing. I love the ocean, and the beautiful countryside. I was active in my community garden, where I organized a hand painted tile mural of my design, but community painted, 1000 tile edible living wall that is so frickin cool. I do projects like this, and inspire people! My biggest interest is environmental architecture.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read The Urantia Book. I love epic films based on true people like Gandhi, Lawrence of Arabia, Ed Wood, Lincoln. I enjoy Silly and Romantic comedies, especially classic and old films, really old films, absolutely NO violence, although I did think The Fight Club was brilliant. Life of Pi was fabulous film. Documentary films are a milieu of interest and I am in process of making one.
I like historical biographies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been blessed to have lived and traveled the world. The most amazing experience of my life was a bout with enlightenment (although it lasted only three months, it was extraordinary) after my first Vipassana meditation course. I have subsequently completed many more, but never experienced enlightenment like the first time I practiced.
The experience of being the wife of Lee Porter Butler, probably the most brilliant man who lived in the last millenium, was life altering and I am grateful. I have devoted my life to seeding the earth with his work, environmental architecture, called Ekotecture. I educate all I meet about this and hope to share it with any of you who might have an interest and really get the movement started globally!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love meeting open people who have interests in sharing their cultures and like to get into projects with me...I often have projects going on, so it seems I am able to attract people to my art and environmental projects and they have fun sharing and working with me, as I have fun with them...There is mutual learning and teaching as we cooperate!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I teach environmental architecture, based on EKOTECTURE. As I've lived the world over I have stories, yoga lessons, Sat Nam Rasai, which is an ancient yogic healing modality, Reiki, as I am certified in 1 degree, cooking, planting a garden, Gratitude Training, and fun times.
