About Me

I just turned 62 and am leaving Cincinnati after being here a little over two years. I learned so much about myself and now I get to move on.

I believe in caring for the earth and supporting local business. I am also a proficient cook although now I am a mostly keto. I just love good, clean food.

I really enjoy life and believe it really is a journey and that we are all here to learn and be happy.

I love and respect all humans especially children. I always look for the good.

The last few years, I have learned many important life lessons and come from a heart centered space. I have always been an empathetic person and now have the skills to make a difference . I love conversations and laughing.

I don't enjoy closed minded people but if you are openminded and enjoy laughing and chatting, we're sure to get along.

I am a creative soul on a creating journey.

I am on a journey across country in search of a small intimate town where I can participate and make a difference. I have no idea where I will land. I am writing a blog about my journey.

Two of my dream destinations are Ireland and the Amalfi Coast. Now I just have to get a passport ;)

I'm still quite active and hope to remain vibrant til I leave this earth.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love meeting and getting to know new people. What better way to visit someplace than to hang out with someone interesting that knows the city I'm visiting.

I am a considerate guest. I love to cook and really love having company and maybe a glass of wine when I prepare a delicious and probably simple meal. I'm not a vegetarian or vegan but cook both well.

I love the personal aspect of couchsurfing and think it is the best way to travel!

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all kinds of music except heavy metal and gansta rap. I'm especially into jazz, Native American, folk, Indie and most country.

I enjoy action, well done suspense, romance and most movies based on true stories. I do like happy endings because why would I watch a movie that leaves me feeling disappointed. They are for entertainment, RIGHT? I don't like horror (frightening) or most sci fi.

TV - police dramas, some medical shows and a couple of comedies (most are not very funny to me, but I'm working on that) Also cooking, travel and DIY type shows, as I said, I love to learn.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I owned a successful fine dining restaurant located in the Oregon Historic District in Dayton Oh. I met so many amazing and unique people during that part of my life.

Spent an amazing two weeks in China when I adopted a six year old girl from a rural orphanage there.

The best news is.....I am nowhere near finished. I'm just starting to live life so will have so much more to add!

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe in approaching everything with a loving, gentle heart and disdain violence, anger or judgement. You get what you think about and I choose to think about the good stuff and desires of my heart.

I will never stop learning, it is the crux of life. What better way to learn than to host and couchsurf!

What I Can Share with Hosts

My cooking skills, help with dog issues, great conversation, a loving, interesting perspective, fun and laughs.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, China, Jamaica
