About Me

I'm a curious person and love exploring new cities and getting to know new people.

I grew up in a small town in the Northeastern United states, then lived in New York City for a few years before moving to the San Francisco area, where I have, for the most part, lived since.

I am interested in the ways the health of our planet, our communities, our bodies, our spirits, and our minds interact with each other. Each one reflect and is influenced by the other. How do we nourish each one and the whole to create a better world?

One of the ways I have studied this is through Chinese medicine. I studied for three years to get a degree in Chinese medicine, which includes acupuncture, herbs, massage, qigong, and nutrition, as well as philosophy and spirituality.

I am also interested in different ways people build community around the world, specifically in intentional community, though all of the ways people collaborate to have their need met and find joy in life are fascinating to me.

And I love to cook and to eat. I have worked as a professional cook and caterer, as well as a baker in my life. Now I cook just for fun and to nourish the people that I spend time with.
