About Me

ABOUT ME

I have a lot of energy. I like to play outside. I am considerate, happy, and like to have fun! I teach first and second grade at a Montessori Magnet school, I love working with children!

Interests

I am very active: I surf, paddle board, hike, bike (mountain, road, and/or townie), play ultimate frisbee, do yoga and have even started flying trapeze lessons! I enjoy moments in nature as well as going to concerts or the local pub to hear live music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was in AmeriCorps NCCC and worked with 9 different non-profit organizations for a year. It was amazing getting to know people in our country who devote their time and energy to helping others for the greater good. That was when I fell in love with Colorado for I had the opportunity to work with Colorado Fourteeners Initiative and lived on two 14ers at 10,000ft and hiking to work everyday to maintain sustainable trails.
I spent a summer backpacking around Central America by myself and surfed everyday. There I learned how many people are happy in this world without material possesions or money.
Last summer I sailed to the Bahamas with my husband and the ocean humbled me in new ways. Living off your boat and dealing with unexpected weather, lack of fresh produce but an ample supply of beer you can have an interesting time!
