About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to enjoy all the beautiful things this life has to offer...and to offer up a little beauty in return
ABOUT ME
I'm a big kid who still sees the world full of the most amazing, beautiful surprises, if you're open to them...i'm a shy but curious soul, and my curiosity almost always wins over my shyness.
I like meeting new people, and having interesting discussions. I'm a bit of a nerd, so lots of things interest me, and especially if you're into history, politics, law, or literature!
I'm also very interested in human rights issues, and am about to begin studying for my LLM (master's of laws) in international human rights law.
I love travelling (which is, I am sure, a very common thing amongst us couch surfers!) and learning new languages. I particularly love South America, and would love to see more (perhaps Chile, Argentina are next on the list..?) I can speak Spanish quite fluently, and a bit of Swedish...and even less French (though I am very ashamed of that fact, having grown up in Ottawa, Canada!)
I am in awe of what a lucky person I am.
PHILOSOPHY
To live life unselfishly, to be fair, and to share.

I love all kinds of music - mostly a lot of folk/rock, but also beats/electro, classical, and anything different that captures my attention...Absolutely LOVE Regina Spektor
Books - "The City of Joy", "Even Cowgirls Get the Blues" by Tom Robbins, "Survivor" by Chuck Palanuick, "Open Veins of Latin America" (Veinas Abiertas de Latino America" by Eduardo Galeano, and "Covering: The hidden assault on our civil rights" by Kenji Yoshino
Movies - all kinds...especially if they move the spirit, and are deeply honest....i especially love shorts (it's the short attention span ;)) and docs.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This February I did a 5 hour trek through the jungle in Ecuador to get to this most amazing, pristine waterfall, and swam in its crystal clear waters. I was literally having fantasies about setting up camp there and just staying. It was beautiful.
