About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Still getting to know myself... I find out something new everyday!
ABOUT ME
I'm currently going to school in Tulsa, OK to become a paramedic. I find satisfaction in giving to others and seeing that my actions and efforts can make a difference. I like to think I'm laid back and easy going... but I have my limits, like everyone. I'm very active; running, skiing, hiking, just getting out. Single, looking to meet people and have some new experiences.
I spent the last 7 years in Santa Fe, NM and had some wonderful couch surfers stay with me there.
PHILOSOPHY
I live my life for others. I teach, volunteer, give back to my community as much as I can. I believe in building leaders for the future and helping those who need help. And sometimes, there is nothing more important that sitting back and taking care of yourself as well.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I used to host a lot, but unfortunately am not able to host as much now that I've moved. When I have time to travel, I'm hoping to meet some people who can steer me away from the tourist attractions and towards some local beauty and attractions.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Stayed with a few, had a few stay with me. It's the only way to travel.
Interests
I like running, hiking, reading, pottery, knitting, relaxing in the sun. My favorite thing to do is sit in a nice restaurant with good people and no schedule. I really enjoy good food with a pleasant atmosphere!

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: O Brother Where Art Thou, Snatch, Office Space
Books: John Irving, fiction
Music: I'm pretty easy going about music. I'll listen to whatever you're interested in.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I saw an F4 tornado from less than 1/2 mile away. Just for a second though, because my nose was in my shower drain the next second...
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach... this is what I do. I used to be a high school teacher, so if you want to talk about education and the struggles of adolescence, I'm your girl. As far as learning goes, I need some help learning how to travel. I've been kind of tied down so far in my life, and feel like I now have more opportunities to travel. I just don't know how to make it happen sometimes...
