Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined couchsurfing way back when and had a great time both hosting and visiting. I haven't been able to travel for years, so want to take advantage of the fact I've got a conference to go to do some exploring as well by coming a week early and hopefully finding somewhere nice to stay! I'll mostly be working on my laptop in the day time, but it will feel like a holiday to do so in the cafes/libraries/museums of Philadelphia. And am happy to either be independent in the evenings or to hang out/cook/go out. I've only been to America once, years ago, to California, and have no idea what Philadelphia is like, so am excited to visit!
