About Me
hello! 🌻 i’m a 25 year old english teacher and community organizer from the US! i love making friends and learning new things. my main goal when traveling is just to make friends because it's one of the sweetest joys in life. then i go wherever my new friends take me and it's always a wonderful time!
i’m from Cincinnati, Ohio in the USA. i am the 2nd of 4 siblings and we are all very close friends now.
i graduated from university with a degree in Film Production, a minor in Entrepreneurship and certificates in International Human Rights, African Studies, and Directing Film and TV.
i'm also certified in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL).
i love reading, art, geography, public transit, political theory, having meaningful discussions, playing board games, reading books by revolutionary leaders (if you know who Thomas Sankara is, i love you), drinking tea/coffee, learning about different countries, and meeting new people.
last year, i helped start a community space in Cincinnati that was built on the belief that the thing that's going to change the world is genuine community and networks of mutual aid. we have about 8 events every week - like game night, book club, community dinner, jam session, crochet/mending, trans support group, and poetry sharing night. we also have a free fridge with food anyone can eat anytime, a free clothing rack, community library, and community garden. through this, i've gotten some experience in community organizing, hosting events, and conflict mediation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
i heard about CS seven years ago but i didn't start using it until 2020 and wow i absolutely LOVE it! i've met so many incredible people through CS and i can't wait to have my own space to be able to host others all the time!!!
Interests
I love geography, flags, riddles, public transit, and reading. I want to learn some of the local language everywhere I travel.
I also love playing card games and board games with friends. For the past 6 years, I've hosted a game night every week, with about 300 total participants being involved. We always had great discussions afterwards that would last until late at night.
