Overview
About Me
I live in Ottawa (Canada's capital) and try to get away and travel as much as my job allows.
I'm a bit reserved when I first meet people, but I'm very social and love spending time with others. I am always eager to learn about pretty much anything, and I want to see as much as I can while I can :-) Meeting people who love what they do, who have experiences different from mine, or a different perspective, is a real pleasure.
I work a desk job but I love to be outside enjoying nature, even if it doesn't happen often enough.
I overthink everything, so even though I love to experience new things and have a solid sense of adventure, spontaneous is probably not a word I could ever truthfully use to describe myself!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love getting to know people and hearing their stories, and couchsurfing is a really great way to meet new people and experience places a little more fully. My first time couchsurfing was in June 2015, and I have had wonderful experiences since then. I'm looking forward to having more opportunities to connect with people this way.
Interests
Traveling (obviously), reading, downhill skiing, running (have struggled my way through 4 half marathons), playing piano, nature, tea and coffee, good food, good people
Music, Movies, and Books
Really not good at narrowing these down. I enjoy a lot of variety but I can't pretend it's particularly refined...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I met my husband through Couchsurfing in France, and married him in Iceland!
I've seen many beautiful things in this world and I'm grateful for each one.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can play you a song on the piano :) and I like learning about everything!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I won't say I'm a great cook, but I generally don't burn what I am cooking ;-)
