I’m an enthusiastic photographer, photoshop artist, and Purveyor of Mischief, and I have embarked on my dream: to travel around the country, staying with friends old and new, and creating fantasy portraits of my hosts (or their partner, child, friend, etc) in exchange for accommodations for a few nights. I hope to improve my skills, meet amazing people, and build an incredible portfolio of artwork, all while traveling around the states and seeing this beautiful land I call home. I’ve wanted to be part of Couchsurfing for a while now, so I could have more authentic experiences as I travel, make new friends, and discover the hidden gems that only hosts can offer. As a host myself, when I am not traveling, I want to give back to the community and offer the same!

兴趣

Obviously photography and Photoshop, if you’ve read this far. And dancing, particularly bellydancing but really any type. I love food and wine, and adore cooking and talking about food in general. I love anything quirky or offbeat. I collect animal bones and feathers in the woods, which is a strange superpower of mine, and I share them with my 3D artist friends. I’ve been studying archery (target practice only, not into hunting) and I’m pretty good with my bare bow recurve.

Absolutely anything fantasy, sci-fi, or creepy. I love LOTR, Star Trek, anything with vampires or witches, costume dramas, basically whatever transports me to another realm or time. Dune is one of my favorite books ever. I listen to an enormous range of music: from Florence and The Machine to Heilung, Pink Floyd to kirtan, Hamilton to Turkish lo-fi.

I’ve walked on hot coals. Yes, this is completely possible, without getting burned, and was probably the most self-empowering thing I’ve ever done!

In addition to hoping to include you in my fantasy portrait series (that’s just a happy trade for accommodations), I’ve also been a bellydance instructor for 15 years, and would be glad to teach you (or your family/friends)! Also as mentioned above, I’m great at Photoshop and can offer showing you some tips. I’m an archer, and a pretty good cook too ;) I’m willing to learn anything new, and love collecting skills.
