Whenever I travel I like to experience the culture of a city from the natives' perspectives. I like to delve in and go exploring more than going on pre-arranged bus tours.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Medieval literature (my uni major) and Scandinavian crime fiction. As far as non fiction, anything about philosophy and travel specifically. I also like to read poetry. As far as music is concerned, I have a very wide taste. I like everything from classical to 80's rock, tribal, electronic, ambient beats, and some Icelandic and Scandinavian bands, especially metal. I have played electric bass in a couple punk bands that I formed with friends. Nothing ever came of it, but it was fun.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to continue learning Icelandic. I plan to attend University of Iceland for a masters in Medieval Icelandic literature. I'm professional at the English language (have a degree) and can teach that in return. I have both tutored and worked as a teaching assistant in university. I'm also good at guiding yoga sessions. I have an ashtanga inspired practice.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a degree in English writing, and I can tutor in English language skills, including writing and grammar. I am also an accredited dog walker with lots of great reviews to share with you. I'd be more than happy to take care of your companion(s)!
