About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Try get out as much as I can while studying, meeting awesome people on the way! Just enjoying life.

ABOUT ME

I love travelling, my family and friends, food and my very handsome parter you can see in my photo who is also very nice and heaps of fun :) I know so many beautiful people around the world and I am so appreciative of my life and what I have.

A bit about me: Born in NY but proud to be an Aussie. I'm living in Brisbane, Australia. Studying to be a nurse at my beautiful university - I get pretty busy during semester but in the holidays I'll be free to host or travelling myself. I love a good coffee and good food. If you're coming to Brisbane and just want someone to hang with or take you somewhere cool, I'll do my best!
I lived in Heidelberg, Germany for a bit over a year. It was incredible! You should go there and climb up the hill to the castle.
When I go somewhere I want to discover why it is the locals love it rather than seeing as many monuments as possible. I enjoy the company of others in general. Meeting new people is always interesting and really makes all the difference to what you thought of your trip or time in a place.
I am from the sunshine state but I'm pasty white and can't surf. Because of this, most people in Europe and the US assumed I was British ;P
Otherwise you can find out more when we meet and I look forward to it :)

I'm definitely wanting to participate more in this awesome service - whenever I can, my couch will be available!
As a surfer I will be extremely grateful and respect your house rules! I will usually want to thank you by making some food or buying you a meal or a bottle of your favourite wine or beer :D I like cooking but I can't say I'm the world's best chef or that I'm particularly good at any Australian specialties. My partner and I cook together a lot at home (I personally think he is a great cook and we would love to make something for you together :D )

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been inactive for a while but did hold meetings occasionally in Heidelberg. I might be able to host here in Brisbane, so just ask :) I live with my partner and our 2 housemates so I'll have to check if it's a good time for everyone. My last holidays I hosted two lovely ladies from Germany and France and I was very happy to be an active member again. These uni holidays my partner and I will be travelling to Europe for 12 weeks!! We are super excited and hope to meet some amazing people through CS again :D

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had a couple of visitors before I knew of CS who are now users and they are some of the greatest people I've met :)
Otherwise I surfed in London with a really nice guy and it was such a fun experience and totally safe. He showed me around and I loved it. I have also met some rad people simply though meets in European cities. So glad this service exists. Other experiences are either listed above or in my references :D

Music, Movies, and Books

Harry and his friends have won my heart. I enjoy a good book, and a good audiobook. I go to the cinema heaps - love movies! I've been really lucky and come across a group of amazing folk in Brisbane that have lots of connections to great live music. My partner himself is a jazz drummer, funk, soul and hip hop lover, and a generally incredible human.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been blessed to do such a huge array of incredible things. Here's a few:
Working Woodford festival in north QLD
Going to the HP7:II world premiere in Trafalgar Square (and sleeping there the night before)
Being serenaded in a gondola on the waters of Venice

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm sure we will learn and share together when we meet :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I kind of mentioned it above in the why I'm on CS section. If I get to stay with you I will do my best to make you a meal or show you something typically Aussie or simply share a good story. Definitely at least a drink on me at a bar. I plan to always have a bit of Vegemite with me - the world's best hangover treatment and a delicious Australian spread (though some may disagree. It is also NOT like Nutella! Watch out!!)
