ABOUT ME

i'll try just about anything once. i am a certified holistic doula, Permaculture Designer, personal trainer, level II Reiki practitioner.  

i love nature, good food, gardening, yoga, feminine majesty, music, travel, meditation, fitness and art and being silly. i follow an eastern influenced spiritual paradigm.  i want a chunk of land where i can develop a self-sustaining hostel/camp/school/culture center for youth and adults from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds to learn about the transformative power of nutrition, art, yoga, wilderness immersion, loving kindness, mindfulness meditation, regenerative agriculture etc... via internships, workshops, retreats etc... it sounds convoluted but it's all a tight ship in my mind.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i believe that by building a strong community of engaged, compassionate humanist advocates we can redefine "progress" and ignite a revolution.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i've left the light on for artists that come through town for shows and would otherwise be sleeping in their vans. i stayed with a slovakian family for a week while working to build a community center there, i have been to meetups and stayed with folks in many states! i most recently took my kids on a 3000 mile road trip to yellowstone and back, couchsurfing all along the way.

i'm big into energy healing, alternative energy, organic farming, creative thinking and expression, poetry, backpacking, honesty, dreams, alternative medicine like homeopathy, biking, photography, yoga, ceramics, listening to and making music, laughter, and being quiet and still in massive open spaces. I handmake a line of organic skin care and aromatherapy products, brew kombucha and ferment veggies.

i read a lot. i listen to a lot of music.  watch movies when i have the time.  i play guitar and sing and write.  i like all types of music: some high-rotation genres include african, hip-hop, old-time blues, classical, indie/classic rock, Latin jazz, Polynesian, folk...old-time pre-swing jazz is a dear, dear love of mine. current reading: books on birth, states of consciousness, herbal remedies, permaculture principals and satire novels...i don't yet know what i'll do when i run out of vonnegut books, but i'm starting to think more serioulsy about it.

i know a little bit about a whole mess of things.  i am a certified holistic doula.  i really want to know more about earth home building techniques, quantum physics, and the endocrine system.  there's only so much i can learn from books and videos, i love experiential learning. i love to share my knowledge of music, art, natural health and herbs, essential oils, Reiki and aromatherapy, etc...it's safe to say i could provide information on any of the topics you read about on my page. I am a great researcher and believe that learning is the key to longevity. i love to learn!!
