About Me

CURRENT MISSION
To foster my personal growth, broaden my horizons, meet great people and freely exchange knowledge, experiences and diverse perspectives as well as to experience the many wonders the world has to offer.

ABOUT ME
I'm an easy going, friendly, genuinely happy and creative people person. I am naturally curious, open minded and love learning about anything new.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The milestone of turning 30 served as a wake up call for me. I reevaluated my priorities and goals and realized I wasn't moving toward living out my dreams or achieving my goals. I care about my relationships with my family and friends, travelling, spending time in nature as well as exploring my spirituality and what I'm passionate about.

I am finally ready to take some risks and look passed my fears and excuses to give myself the opportunity to indulge my wanderlust. I recently decided to take a leap of faith, quit my job and bought a one way ticket to Barcelona, Spain to get certified to teach English as a foreign language.

So far I have visited Spain, Switzerland, Italy, Morocco, Thailand, Costa Rica, Japan, Canada and Mexico. Each of these experiences abroad have changed and challenged my perspectives and fed my soul. I'm very excited to finally get out there and experience more than the small slice of the world that I currently know.

Interests

Traveling of course, nature, hiking and being outdoors, concerts and music, dancing, laughing, sharing stories, meeting new people, spending time with friends and family, being active, experiencing new things, spirituality and meditation, crafty things like painting, collaging, making jewelry etc. Above all I love learning about everything!

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to metal, alternative, and 90's music, but I love music in general. And I break my mold sometimes and listen to Bob Marley, Johnny Cash, and Irish pub music. I made a happy music playlist recently which includes Meredith Brooks, Men in Hats, Chumbawumba, Queen and even the Spice Girls.

I love books by Piers Anthony, Nora Roberts, and Jim Butcher and any self improvement books. Boondock Saints, the Matrix, the Holiday, the Kingsmen, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Bedknobs and Broomsticks are some of my favorite movies. As for tv I love fantasy and sci-fi so Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Doctor Who, The Librarians, TED Talks and Rick and Morty. I don't watch tv very often though and haven't seen a lot of movies. I often suprise people because of the classic movies I haven't seen, so if you have any suggestions let me know.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I studied abroad in Costa Rica and experienced an absolutely amazing lightning storm that I will never forget.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm collecting recipes as souvenirs from every country that I stay in.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to cook meals for my hosts, clean around their home if they would like as a thank you for room and board and to share stories and experiences!
