Me gusta viajar, estar en la naturaleza (corriendo o haciendo trekking), conocer a buena gente y hacer actividades con amigues, cocinar, escuchar música (sobre todo el rock y electrónica), ir a recitales, festivales, aprender idiomas, jugar juegos de mesa, patinar sobre rollers, leer y aprender de otros. Disfruto de las conexiones profundas en la vida.

Soy de Inglaterra, pero estoy por cumplir 10 años en Alemania. Ahora vivo en Berlín y he vivido en Francia, España, Alemania y Argentina.

Me gusta comer y cocinar :D, especialemente con amigues. Soy vegetariana/vegana, que los otros hagan lo que quieran. La sostenibilidad es muy importante para mí y siempre estoy tratando de mejorar en este aspecto, una de las muchas ventajas de Couchsurfing, junto a su aspecto social :).

Intento viajar de manera más lenta y conocer un lugar y su gente en su profundidad. ¡Ahora disfruto el viaje, las conexiones con la gente, y el paisaje mucho más!

Hey there! I´m a translator living in Berlin.
My big passion in life is languages, learning new things and exploring new places. I love being outside (running, hiking, rollerskating, (lake) swimming, or just walking around discovering), playing board games and listening to music (mostly rock and electronic).
You can also find me hanging out with friends, discovering new places, cooking with friends, at games nights with friends, going to museums and more. I'm generally very open to activities that other people suggest and love doing new things with friends.

I am a real foodie and I love to cook, especially with friends. I'm veggie/vegan myself, I'm not bothered by what other people eat. Sustainability is important to me and I'm always looking for ways to improve here, that's one of the things I love about Couchsurfing!

I try to focus on slow(er) travel and just hang out in the place, taking time to really get to know a place and the people. I always try to go to meetups in the city if I find one, it´s the best way to experience a city :)

Und zum Schluss das ganze Nochmal auf Deutsch :) Ich heiße Beth und bin Übersetzerin in Berlin.

Wie es zu Couchsurfing gehört, ist meine große Leidenschaft im Leben das Reisen (und Sprachen lernen). Ich liebe die Natur, und häufiges Waldbaden ist für mich ein Muss, sei es laufend oder wandernd :D. Ich lerne sehr gerne neue Leute kennen und schätze es sehr, wenn wir auch voneinander lernen können. Ansonsten liebe ich (gemeinsames) Kochen, Musik (hauptsächlich Rock und Disco/House/melodisches Techno), Konzerte, Festivals, Brett- und Kartenspiele, Rollschuhfahren, Pflanzen und vieles mehr.

Ich bin zwar aus England, identifiziere mich aber als alles Andere. Ich wohne seit fast 10 Jahren in Deutschland und habe in Frankreich, Spanien, Deutschland und Argentinien gelebt.

Ich bin eine große Foodie und liebe es, mit anderen zusammen zu kochen. Ich bin Veganerin. Was andere essen, ist ihre Entscheidung :) Umweltschutz ist für mich sehr wichtig und vor allem in Bezug auf Reisen versuche ich, mich immer zu verbessern. Ein weiterer großer Vorteil von Couchsurfing :).

Ich versuche, langsam(er) zu reisen und dabei den Ort und seine Leute richtig kennenzulernen. Auf diese Weise genieße ich die Reise, die menschlichen Verbindungen und die Natur heutzutage viel mehr!

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

He recibido a gente de couchsurfing un par de veces, pero por lo general, siempre he vivido en lugares donde no era posible por mis compañeros de piso. Me gusta la convivencia mucho (he vivido solo por un año en toda mi vida), ¡pero ésta es la gran desventaja! Es la primera vez que utilizo Couchsurfing desde COVID (me quedé en Francia, Austria y Eslovaquia), ¡pero espero que esto cambie pronto!

Por eso, mi manera de ser activa es diferente. Me gusta reunirme a eventos de Couchsurfing en todas las ciudades donde estoy, si puedo. Me encanta intercambiar apuntes, ideas, inspiración, cuentos, anecdotas y la vida en general con otros viajeros.

I've hosted a few times before but never really had much of a chance to. I've almost always lived in shared flats where I could never manage to convince everyone to let me host. I hope this changes! I couchsurfed in places before COVID (France, Vienna and Slovakia) and am hoping to start using couchsurfing again now for the first time since the pandemic.

I'm most active in going to couchsurfing events in different places I've lived/visited. It's always been a great time! I love to share tips from places I/they have been to and show people around my area, wherever I'm living.

Ich habe ein paar Mal auf Couchsurfing gehostet, aber es ist allgemein schwierig für mich, da ich immer in WGs gewohnt habe, wo es nicht erlaubt war. Obwohl ich das Zusammenleben immer sehr geschätzt habe (ich habe in meinem ganzen Leben nur ein Jahr lang alleine gewohnt) , ist dies schon ein großer Nachteil davon. Jetzt nutze ich Couchsurfing zum ersten Mal seit Corona wieder (ich habe bisher in Frankreich, Österreich und die Slowakei gecouchsurfed), aber ich hoffe, dass es bald ändert.

Aus diesem Grund bin ich hier anderwertig aktiv. Wenn ich kann, gehe ich sehr gerne zu Couchsurfing-Veranstaltungen in allen Wohn- und Reiseorten, wo ich mich gerade befinde. Ich liebe es, mit anderen Reisenden Ideen, Tipps, Inspiration, Erzählungen und Anekdoten auszutauschen.

Me gusta la música rock, indie y electro (francés), pero también muchos generos como disco, funk, soul, swing electrónico y tecno melódico.

Leo mucho y muy variado, sobre todo cuentos de viaje, ciencia fición, fantasía, realismo mágico, y libros sobre psicología, correr, viajar, un poco de todo, incluyendo clásicos de la literatura alemana, francesa e hispanohablante.

My favourite genres are rock, indie and (french) electro, but I also like everything from disco, funk, soul, electro swing, melodic techno to breakbeat and drum and bass.

I read a lot of varied stuff. My favourite book genres are probably travel writing, science fiction, fantasy, magical realism, pyschological thrillers, non fiction (psychology, running, travel - a lot really), but also (modern) classics in French, Spanish and German.
