ABOUT ME

I DO NOT LIVE IN NEW YORK CITY. Montclair is a suburb of New York located 35 minutes away by train and is in New Jersey. Please make sure this is what you want before couch requesting me.

I have 4 grown children who continue to delight me as they launch themselves into adulthood. My oldest is currently living here while the rest are scattered. I still have this big 5 bedroom house and it should be fuller. I don't really have the money to travel myself so I love meeting people who are on the move and I love helping them out with a place to crash. I love music of all kinds, sailing, quilting, watching TV, hanging with family.

PHILOSOPHY

People should do the right thing and be honest and fair. If I live that example maybe others will live it too. Eat good food and drink lots of water.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love the idea of providing a safe free place to sleep especially for young folks out to see the world. I signed up after my son said no one would even answer his couch requests during a trip across the country. That's just wrong.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted lots of surfers in the past year and a half, and had many repeat customers. I like that. I'm storing up all these addresses for a time I can hit the road myself.
