About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make the world smile with my woolridge-isms!

ABOUT ME

I was raised in the hood of Kidderminster, although i escaped to Leeds, nearly 10 years ago and have been having a wonnderful time ever since!
I'm am the youngest of three kids, born into a wonderful family. My mother and sister still live in Worcestershire, my elder brother lives with his family in NSW, Australia. My poppa bear sadly isn't with us anymore, he passed away 6 years ago.
I moved to Italy in 2011 and was there for 14 months had the best year of my life, met some wonderful people and some incredible moments. I then moved to Sydney in October 2012, to live with my brother and his family. 10 days after getting off the plane i met the most beautiful soul, the love of my life, fast forward 2 years later and i'm now his wife and we have a 3 month old daughter together, Autumn Mae, who is the light of our lives! I finally found what i had been looking for all my life. I'm now part of the wildest family, a smorgasbord of nations together in one unit, aussies, germans, english, dutch, kiwis, africans, indigenous aussiues, the list grows like we do. i love ever member and i love the ones who are yet to join us. I think the best experience for any surfer would be meet this motley crew, my family is something else :)

PHILOSOPHY
When you are truly happy, savor in the magic, be grateful for everything you have and be open to possibilities! I'm a firm believer in making what you want happen by the power of positive thought. It works, trust me!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to begin hosting people, particularly families and hopefully meet and make new friends. I have been told i am very good company, albeit a little mad. But the most interesting people always are a tad crazy, are they not?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couched surfed around Belgium and Holland, made some great friends! Two of which we have already been back to visit! They did make us sing in Dutch for chocolate last time, but hey when there's chocolate involved I'd try and sing in Icelandic!
Just got back from Slovenian, another fab cs experience with Ljubljana's Smoothie Queen!
The Firenze CS's are amazing, get yourself involved if you get the pleasure of going to Tuscany.

Interests

I adore vintage fashion, particularly lingerie! Dressing up like a Hollywood starlet, old 50's movies, glen miller, lindy hop dancing, musicals, bollywood dancing, burlesque, BettiePage, tattoos, feathers, rhinestones, dancing, making cupcakes/baking,Sunday lunch (you so want to surf on a Sunday, I do the best Sunday Lunch. Fact!) I'm a history buff, i'm obsessed with Ancient Cultures, Etymology, language, battles, weapons, alternative creation theories, mythology, if its old, i love it.
I also love being in the sunshine, having picnics, adventure playgrounds, getting into my arts and crafts, listening to reggae, swimming, just being outdoors, cycling, rafting, canoeing, reading and most recently discovering the world all over again through the eyes of my daughter. She is the light of my life, my reason for being, we spend our time making up songs, singing, playing guitar, chasing butterflies, kangaroos and dolphins, walking in the National park, smiling and laughing till daddy comes home when we have a bath, cuddles, bedtime stories and kisses before bedtime.

Making a beautiful film in Italy with a great director, Mr Vito Bruno, holding a moth(when you know me personally, you will understand how amazing this is!) taking my nephew to meet Batman, white water rafting down the Soca river, stupidly jumping 12m into a glacial lake!
seeing the sunrise over Positano, whilst riding up the mountain on a scooter after a fabulous night at music on the rocks. Becoming a mum to my beautiful baby girl x
